The Fujitsu FM Towns II HG increased the 386DX speed to 20 MHz and introduced a low horizontal desktop enclosure. Front-loading CD-ROM and three-mode floppy drives made the revised case easier to integrate with contemporary monitors and storage.
The HG retained Towns multimedia compatibility while modernising the machine’s appearance and expansion layout. It was the final mainline Towns desktop based on the 386DX.
