The Fujitsu FM Towns II CX was the first tower-style model to carry the Towns II name. It retained the full 16 MHz 386DX architecture while adding a faster operating mode and refreshed system software.
Available with different floppy and hard-disk combinations, the CX served as the performance-oriented partner to the compact UX. It was the last Towns generation to use the original upright cabinet style.
