Compaq LTE 286

The Compaq LTE 286 placed a 12 MHz 80286, internal hard disk and VGA-compatible monochrome display in the same compact notebook family introduced by the LTE.

It offered serious desktop-compatible performance in a machine small enough for routine travel and became one of the best-known early business notebooks.

Notable Features
  • 80286 performance in a notebook enclosure
  • VGA-compatible monochrome display
  • Optional docking and expansion accessories
Historical Significance
  • It offered serious desktop-compatible performance in a machine small enough for routine travel and became one of the best-known early business notebooks.
