Amstrad PC5086

The Amstrad PC5086 was the low-cost 8086 model in Amstrad’s compact Series 5 desktop range. Launched in 1991, it combined an 8 MHz processor and 640KB of RAM with VGA graphics in the small case introduced by the PC4386SX.

With DOS compatibility, standard floppy storage and optional hard-disk configurations, the PC5086 targeted economical home and office computing at an advertised starting price of about £299.
