The Timex Computer 3256 was a proposed third-generation Spectrum-compatible computer developed by Timex Portugal. It expanded memory to 256KB and combined Sinclair BASIC, Timex Extended BASIC, the Timeword word processor and a CP/M terminal in four switchable ROM banks.
A larger 69-key keyboard, RAM disk, sound, communications and support for Timex disk and network hardware targeted more professional applications. At least one prototype was built, but closure of the Portuguese production line prevented release.
