The Tandy 3000 was an IBM PC/AT-compatible business computer based on the 80286. Unlike the proprietary Tandy 2000, it used standard expansion graphics and ISA hardware to improve software and peripheral compatibility.
It marked Tandy’s business-line commitment to industry-standard PC architecture while the 1000 family retained enhanced home graphics and sound.
