The Tandy 1000 RSX was the final and most conventional member of the 1000 family, using a 25 MHz 386SX, Super VGA, AT-compatible IDE and 16-bit expansion. The RSX/HD included a factory hard disc.
It completed Tandy’s progression from PCjr-inspired home computers to a broadly standard multimedia PC, after which the distinctive 1000 identity disappeared.
