The Tandy 1000 HX updated the keyboard-integrated EX with a 720KB 3.5-inch drive and MS-DOS in ROM for fast startup. It retained the 7.16 MHz 8088 and PLUS expansion system.
The HX became one of the most recognisable Tandy home computers and offered a compact bridge between appliance-like home machines and DOS compatibility.
