The Memotech MTX512S2 was a late and very rare development of the MTX512 produced after the original company's financial difficulties. It increased the computer's bank-switched memory to 256KB while retaining the familiar aluminium enclosure and MTX-compatible architecture.
The extra RAM was most useful with disk-based software and CP/M, building on the communications and storage capabilities developed for the earlier machines. Surviving documentation and production totals are limited.
