The Memotech MTX512 was the 64KB version of Memotech's aluminium-cased Z80 home computer. It shared the MTX500's dedicated video memory, sprite-capable colour graphics, three-channel sound and unusually comprehensive expansion connections.
The larger memory made the MTX512 the preferred base for Memotech's FDX floppy and HDX hard-disk packages, which could run CP/M and support an 80-column display. Despite strong specifications and construction, the range struggled against cheaper British rivals.
