Commodore 64G

The Commodore 64G returned the C64 to a breadbin-shaped case but used the light colour scheme associated with later Commodore products. It was sold mainly in European markets.

Its combination of classic case shape and late-production styling gives it a distinct identity from both the original C64 and C64C.

Notable Features
  • Light case and top-printed key legends are identifying features.
  • The letter G is commonly associated with the German market.
Historical Significance
  • Its combination of classic case shape and late-production styling gives it a distinct identity from both the original C64 and C64C.
Collector’s Notes
  • Board revision, regional video standard, power supply, keyboard legends and original accessories should be recorded.
  • Memory, storage, displays and expansion hardware should be documented because configurations often changed during a system’s working life.
