Apple Power Macintosh 9600

Apple Power Macintosh 9600 was introduced in 17 February 1997. It became Apple's ultimate pre-G3 expansion tower with six PCI slots, twelve RAM sockets and an easily opened case. It combined PowerPC 604e at 200 MHz with 32MB; expandable to 1.5GB.

The 9600 remained valuable after faster systems appeared because no later classic Mac offered the same combination of PCI slots and internal access.
