The Apple iMac G4 20-inch arrived in November 2003 as the largest version of the articulated flat-panel design. Its 1680 x 1050 widescreen display, 1.25 GHz G4, GeForce FX graphics and SuperDrive made it the range’s premium configuration.
The larger screen required a heavier base and revised arm mechanism, making this a distinct physical model rather than a simple display option for the 17-inch system.
