The Acorn Archimedes A410/1 revised the professional A400 range with updated memory control, RISC OS and a 1MB entry configuration. Its larger case retained four podule slots and room for internal storage.
The /1 range marked the point at which RISC OS replaced Arthur as the standard Acorn desktop environment.
