The Acorn Archimedes A410 placed the first-generation ARM2 system in the larger A400-series case with four expansion slots and a factory hard disc. It targeted professional and technical users who needed more internal expansion than the A300 series offered.
The A410 began Acorn’s expandable workstation branch and led directly to the higher-capacity A440 and revised A400/1 machines.
