The Acorn A7000+ increased the compact desktop’s speed with a 48 MHz ARM7500FE, which also incorporated floating-point hardware. Standard memory rose to 8MB and typical systems included a 1.2GB hard disc.
It was Acorn’s final mass-produced education desktop and remained in production under Castle after Acorn withdrew from workstation manufacturing.
