The Acorn A4000 placed the ARM250 chipset in a separate desktop case with an 80MB hard disc and PC-style keyboard. It offered the A3020 generation in a more conventional office and secondary-school form.
The A4000 was the last mainstream desktop derived directly from the original Archimedes memory architecture before the Risc PC and A7000 generations.
